We have gotten confirmation of our consulate appointment. It is on December 2. On Dec 3, we will be able to pick up Xia Mei’s visa and then we’ll be able to fly back to Minneapolis on Dec 4. We are expected to arrive in Nanchang by Nov 23 and leave for Guangzhou on Nov 29. I expect that we’ll probably leave for China the week of the 17th. We will arrange our schedule in Beijing with CHSFS and they will book our stay in a hotel in Beijing and arrange our flight from Beijing to Nanchang. We will be picked up at the airport again by Peter. Molly will again be one of our facilitators. She was our facilitator in Guangzhou last time. The other facilitator will be Wanda, whom we did not meet when we were in China three years ago.
We can soon book our flight for the trip. We will need to start packing, including clothes and other sundries for Xia Mei. Hopefully we’ll get some updated information about her so we’ll know what size clothes to bring.
Karen sent our passports and Chinese visa applications to Chicago yesterday. We should have the visas in hand by the end of October.
We’ll be celebrating Grace’s birthday and Thanksgiving in Nanchang. Xia Mei will have her first birthday in Guangzhou.
