China itinerary

Karen got our plane tickets today. We spoke with David from CHSFS yesterday evening to sort out our stay in Beijing. We now have a pretty clear idea about our itinerary. We will be leaving on Tue Nov 18 and returning on Thu Dec 4. This will be our itinerary:

Nov 18 Depart MSP

Nov 19 Arrive in the evening in Beijing, stay at Novotel Peace Hotel

Nov 20-22 Sightseeing in Beijing (Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Beihai Park, …)

Nov 23 Fly to Nanchang, Olivia joins the family, stay at Galactic Peace Hotel, celebrate Grace’s birthday

Nov 24 Apply for notary and passport

Nov 25-26 Free time (sightseeing in Nanchang, visit Wanzai County SWI?, visit Mount Lushan?)

Nov 27 Receive notary, Thanksgiving

Nov 28 Receive passport

Nov 29 Fly to Guangzhou, stay at White Swan Hotel

Nov 30 Sightseeing

Dec 1 Take visa picture & medical check, fill out forms

Dec 2 Obtain child visa and interview at the Consulate by rep

Dec 3 Return to US Consulate to take oath and receive visa

Dec 4 Depart Beijing, arrive Minneapolis

Time to start packing and preparing for the trip.
